Supporting Your Oral Health, Every Step of the Way

At Rainy Lake Family Dental, we’re here to address all your dental needs with compassionate care and state-of-the-art technology. Whether it’s a simple filling or a more complex procedure, our goal is to ensure your comfort and deliver outstanding results.

Fillings are used to repair worn, damaged, or decayed teeth to help them last longer. Both adult and baby teeth can be repaired with fillings. At Rainy Lake Family Dental, we primarily use composite resin (white fillings); however, in some instances, we still use amalgam (silver fillings).

A crown, also referred to as a cap, is made of zirconia or mixed metals (gold) and is placed over top of the existing tooth to protect it. They are beneficial to strengthen teeth that have had root canals, for teeth that have been extensively filled, or when fillings are insufficient to maintain the tooth.

Similarly to crowns, bridges are made of the same material but are used to fill the space of a missing tooth. Additionally, they protect the supporting teeth, just as a crown does on a single tooth.

Crowns and Bridges

An extraction is necessary where there are no other possible options to preserve the tooth. In some particularly complex cases, we may refer you to an Oral Surgeon for the best possible outcome.

Extractions

Root Canal Therapy will be used to treat a tooth if it has developed an infection, has prolonged pain that will not resolve, or if there is a cavity that is close to the nerve. It is completed by removing the nerves and internal tissues of the tooth.
